Knowledge has a beginning but no end...

Since the Christmas break, I have been getting back into routine and focusing on a wide range of projects which have really benefited my skill set and allowed my knowledge base to develop!

Top 3 learning from the week:

  • Articles: Since being back after Christmas I have been looking at articles related to business intelligence and AI. I have been reading through these articles and then producing a write up on each to accompany the article on our LinkedIn pages. This exercise will be an ongoing thing which is great as it acts as a good chance for me to build up my industry knowledge and to help stay on top of the markets that we work within.
  • Infographic: I was tasked to create an infographic about the HealthTech industry within the East Midlands so that we could look at diversifying our promotional material. This has been a great opportunity for me to increase my market knowledge base and also to show off my creative and IT skills by using Excel and PowerPoint. In addition, this type of task helps to build on my research skills which will be a main skill needed for me to stand out in recruitment.
  • Apprenticeship Project: For part of my apprenticeship I must run a project in order to introduce something new or to improve something within the business. Over the past weeks I have been discussing different ideas in which I could focus on in anticipation for the start which should be march time. the project must incorporate a wide range of skills including IT skills, decision making and project management. Now having decided a project idea I am really excited to get started on it as I feel like it will really benefit the organisation.

I look forward to dissecting business growth reports for the Midlands and furthering my research skills by helping out with different projects.
