With this week marking the end of my time at college it has been great to reflect on all that I have learnt over the past few months and see how much I have developed.
Top 3 learning from the week:
- Portfolio Building: This week I have continued with building my portfolio, this time focusing on record and document production. I focused on many examples including emails, the use of our CRM system and formatting CVs. I then linked these to show how I ensure confidentiality and accuracy in their production to align my work with the apprenticeship specification. I really enjoy building my portfolio up as it makes me realise all that I am doing and how I have developed over time.
- Practice Project: I have been sent an ongoing project to help build up our CRM system in regard to the practice sector. This project will allow me to showcase a wide range of skills such as producing records, researching, the use of IT and allow me to help out my colleagues by enhancing the CRM system. This week I have began by focusing on the top 50 practices and researching the locations of their offices, seeing if any fall into our location areas.
- College: This Thursday marked the end of my studying at college. This means that now I have all the knowledge in preparation for my knowledge test which will be taken at the end of my apprenticeship. It also provides a great opportunity for reflection on all that I have learnt and covered. The topics have been so diverse from project management to regulations and legislations and I really feel that what I have learnt will continue to help me in the workplace and has equipped me with skills and knowledge not only needed for my apprenticeship but also for the rest of my life!
Over the next week I will continue to work on my practice project and also continue to build my portfolio with my college assessor!
