Progress is impossible without change. Change makes us grow

Posted 2/12/2019 by Olivia Holliday

This week has been really positive as I had my second progress review. I have also continued with my college learning and have submitted another piece of portfolio work.

Top 3 learning from the week:

  • Managing Change: At college this week we looked at managing change. In this topic we focused on the PESTLE analysis we created at the beginning of the course and planned an improvement using it. This topic has equipped me with the knowledge necessary for the test, but it will also help me when I am conducting my project as this will entail implementing a change or business improvement.
  • Communications: This week I have been building my apprenticeship portfolio. I have been creating a document on the different forms of communication that I use in the workplace such as emails, letters, face to face, over the phone and social media. I find it is really interesting doing these pieces of work as it makes me realise how much I have actually achieved.
  • Progress Review: On Tuesday my assessor came in for a review, it was a good chance to discuss how I have been finding my apprenticeship so far and to discuss what the next steps are. Everything was really positive and hopefully I will be able to begin my project in February or March next year, so I need to start thinking of potential ideas!

Next week at college we will be taking our mock knowledge test, so I am hoping that this goes well, and I am able to showcase all that I have learnt over the past couple of months.
