To be successful, the first thing to do is to fall in love with your work

“To be successful, the first thing to do is to fall in love with your work”

After my second week I feel truly settled in my new workplace and am really enjoying the world of recruitment. I’ve began to put my newly learnt skills in to practice and my knowledge base of the industry is ever expanding.

Here is my top 3 learning points from this week:

  • CV Formatting:This week one of my key learning topics was on how to format CV’s into a standardised format. This is an extremely beneficial practice as it allows clients to easily see why a candidate is right for the job and allows for quick comparisons between CVs meaning that the whole process for the client is simplified.
  • Events:probably not a conventional recruitment task, however this week I have been searching venues for a company event in the near future. I am looking forward to further working on this alongside my recruitment tasks. Keep your eyes peeled for more information regarding this event!
  • College enrolment:I have now formally enrolled with the college in which I will be doing my business administration level 3 course with. The meeting was certainly informative, and it was great to learn more about the course content and how the skills which I have been learning will help me to pass my final assessments.

I am hoping that next week will allow me to further develop my skill set as I continue to learn the ins and outs of recruitment.
