Transformation Business Analyst - Derby

Our well-established and reputable client is looking for an exceptional Business Analyst with key Business Change and Transformation experience to join their team at their Derbyshire based office.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• To make sure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture

• To facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs

• To analyse, document and propose digital solutions for large and/or complex business areas and to prepare functional specifications and propose solutions

• Document workflows and results of Business Analysis and obtain sign-off on the specifications

• To provide the link between the business and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle and to assist in the preparation of user and system test plans

• Prepare reports to the timescales directed showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies

• To maintain a systems map of data flows between all systems

• To manage Business benefit identification and ensure that the benefits are realisable

• To facilitate workshops for requirements gathering

• To investigate the difference between a proposed system and the current situation

• To investigate the business impact of a proposed solution or initiative

• To consider the different viewpoints and needs surrounding an issue and determine the degree of involvement necessary to ensure success

• To produce process models to show the processing of information systems

• To produce data models to specify the data requirements of the system

• To work collaboratively to ensure that effective communication channels are established and maintained

 

Essential Experience Required

• Educated to degree level or equivalent or Equivalent work experience

• Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes using recognised methodologies and techniques

• Demonstrable experience of applying digital understanding to the changing digital landscape

• Proven experience writing requirements specifications

• Demonstrable experience in seeing the Big Picture and supporting organisational objectives, in moving to a digitally excellent organisation

• End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle

• Demonstrable evidence of Business Benefit identification make sure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture

• Proven experience of collaboration, influencing stakeholders and managing relationships

• Proven experience interacting directly with end users and third party suppliers

• Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven problem solving skills

• Demonstrable knowledge of modelling techniques, e.g. Swim Lanes, UML and User Cases

Desirable Experience Required

• ITIL Foundation level qualification or equivalent

• Project Management qualification or equivalent

• ISEB Analysis and Design or equivalent

• ISEB Testing or equivalent

• Knowledge and understanding of system design methodologies, e.g. SSADM, Waterfall, Agile and Rapid Application Development

• Knowledge and understanding of Formal Project Management methodology, e.g. Prince2.
