Senior Technical Consultant - Nottingham

We are extremely excited to be working with an award winning, East Midlands based software company who are proud to be working with some of the biggest global brands in their specialist industry. 

This client has a well established SaaS product that promotes mutually beneficial interactions between the end user businesses and their own suppliers - this has been proven to increase sales, reduce costs and maximise the brand's competitiveness. With offices in the UK & the U.S. they currently operate in UK, North America & Australia. Following a huge 7 figure private equity investment the business has grown at an impressive rate over the past 2/3 years and have no plans of slowing down any time soon! 

They are now looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to take over the ownership of a large Australian based client due to the current Senior Technical Consultant moving into a different role within the business. They therefore require someone with exceptional Client Management skills, strong business analysis, project management and project delivery knowledge and a passion for data analytics! 

Key Responsibilities include; 

  • Supporting the full project life cycle - including project management, client relations, successful solution delivery, project documentation and training.
  • Translating customers’ needs - identify must have, should have, could have and would have, ask the why questions and solve the right problems.
  • Manage client expectations - Ensure that the scope remains within the agreed scope and work with the assigned Director to resolve and be comfortable discussing commercials with senior executives.
  • Developing key strategic relationships through your track record of delivering solutions and become the go to person within your client. 
  • Manage resource and project plans - Assist the Operations Director, identify relevant resources to implement project and manage internal resources to ensure timeliness and quality
  • Control the project & deliver success worth sharing - and communicate project status, progress and budget to senior stakeholders within the customer and internally to your Directors.
  • Feedback on product enhancements - Work with the Product Director & Product Owner across multiple lines of business to ensure your clients are represented.
  • Working with technical teams - Ensure the technical solution is built as per design and meets the        requirements of the business
  • Be a team player – Collaborate across the business, , issue management, resourcing and forecasting and working with finance for approving project time, invoicing and forecasting 

Key Responsibilities; 

Essential 

  • Graduate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of delivery of software solutions, preferably in FMCG.
  • Client facing experience ideally within high profile retail client / FMCG Brand environment
  • Manage the risks associated with subscription-based business and supporting the business to help to secure and grow the clients you’re in charge of.
  • Proven clarity of thought under pressure and an eye for detail.
  • Experience of large-scale change control projects with internal and external users, with focus on large scale business change projects

Desirable 

  • Experience of business process analysis
  • Experience of rolling out change control across a wide audience (in this case suppliers!)
  • Experience of using data visualisation.
