Senior Developer - Peterborough

RP Tech are working alongside a cutting-edge innovator who provide products and educational events as part of the journey to create financially free investors. You will be working within the marketing team leading the delivery of online presence for 5 forward-thinking and disruptive brands, in which measurable direct marketing initiatives and response-driven customer journeys define success.

We are looking for someone with experience of working on substantial, commercial B2C websites that are content rich, well designed and have a substantial eCommerce element. Ideally making use of the latest design and layout technology to represent the brand in an interactive and engaging manor.

Responsibilities:

• Script architecture, system planning and customer journey design
• Strategic planning and execution of web projects
• Writing project delivery briefs, technical systems documents and internal user guides
• Interpret and feedback on mockups to create prototypes
• Develop project timelines, manage projects to launch, and provide a frame work for ongoing management
• Help internal back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
• Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
• Review and propose website and user analytics to advise on strategic direction
• Mentor junior members of the team on specific technical projects
• Lead and manage shorter-term digital projects concurrently

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of and ability to deliver in HTML, WordPress (theme customisation and plug-in development), CSS, PHP, SQL, and JavaScript
• Delivery of cross-browser/device responsive web sites
• Working knowledge of web security best practices
• Working knowledge of web standards, progressive enhancement and performance optimization
• Experience building scalable systems, and test-driven development
• An appreciation and proven example of design, direct response and usability principles working together
• A proven mix of technical prowess and commercially-focused delivery
• Professional attitude, with strong project management, time management and attention to detail
• An ability to express technical ideas clearly to all levels of management
• Pro-active and pragmatic with regards to problem solving
