Senior Data Analyst - Oxfordshire

£30,000 - £35,000 basic salary + benefits - Business Intelligence - Business Intelligence

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Planning & Innovation team and help drive Data and Insight forward for this not for profit organisation. They have recently began an exciting journey towards being a much more 'data driven' team, with an ultimate aim of helping them to reach more of their target customer who are in need of their assistance! 

As part of the team you will be responsible for providing actionable and understandable insight to help drive evidence-based decision making for the organisation, with a focus on the Services, Fundraising, Marketing and Communications directorates. This will encompass everything from daily/ weekly/ monthly KPI reporting, to complex ad-hoc analysis and board packs to present to the board. 

If successful you will also play a significant role in the delivery of key strategic projects, namely; the procurement, implementation and embedding of a Business Intelligence solution across the organisation in order to truly maximise the data and insights available in the business. You must be excellent at managing stakeholders as you will regularly be in contact to facilitate uptake of the solution and help drive a cultural change towards increased use of data and insight. 

To be considered for this position you will; 

  • Degree or equivalent 
  • Significant experience of producing dashboards for different levels of management within the organisation using MS excel and other BI tools. 
  • Excellent analytical skills incorporating statistical methods, to identify a problem, analyse cause and present findings clearly. 
  • Visual design aptitude for presentational material and high attention to detail for report creation to enable non-technical audiences to quickly understand the information provided. 
  • Comfortable to use SQL Server (2012). 
  • Experience of insight tools, such as MS Power BI, Tableau or Qlik. 
  • Extremely proficient user of MS Excel (Power Pivot/DAX, VBA). 
  • High aptitude for quickly learning new tools. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; comfortable to independently collaborate with stakeholders of different levels within the organisation, understanding their requirements, providing timely updates on progress and managing expectations for a great internal customer experience. 
  • Able to effectively plan time and team workload in order to deliver within customer expectations and without compromising quality or team well-being.
