Are you an ambitious data analyst with an excellent understanding of statistical analysis techniques and a solid understanding of Healthcare data? Then this may well be of interest! 

We are working with an exciting HealthTech business with an office in Nottingham city centre, just a 10 minute walk (max) from the train station who are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the team following an internal promotion for the predecessor. The role will involve a lot of analysis and statistical work with large data sets from the NHS, Private Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry, deriving key insights for clients and presenting them using Tableau. Therefore Tableau experience is desired but any other BI Visualisation tool will certainly be considered. 

The Healthcare Analyst will provide support to the analytical team and assist in the planning and allocation of tasks.  They will take a lead role in liaising with clients and senior management staff within the business in order to establish user requirements as well as deliver quality projects efficiently and on time.  They will attend regular production meetings and contribute to the development of innovative and exciting analytical products for our clients.

Main responsibilities include; 

  • Takes the lead in the development of new products and tools
  • Develops and documents new analytic methodologies in collaboration with project lead
  • Participates in the development of analytical reports, including conducting analysis, summarising data and interpretation of results
  • Provides consultative support and responses to requests for information from internal and external clients
  • Leads on the development of analytical techniques and comparative analyses as needed
  • Provides input into providing effort estimates to account managers and providers
  • Assisting with planning and scheduling jobs
  • Provides project management over other analysts in the team on individual projects where required
  • Coach and mentor other less experienced members of the analyst team
  • Work to maintain and improve peer review and quality assurance processes
  • Participates in other special projects
  • Keeps current with respect to the relevant research literature and regular updates in key NHS datasets
  • Participates in the development of materials (e.g. educational, media, etc.) for dissemination of findings and knowledge translation
  • To assist in the analysis of research findings and deployment of results by checking data, analysing results using Excel spreadsheets, creating/editing PowerPoint presentations, writing reports.
