SaaS New Business Manager - Leicester

My client is an established SaaS software company who have big plans! Over the next 12 months they are expected to double in size and are looking for a keen New Business Manager to join the team and grow the entire sales division.

Day-to-day duties

As part of achieving your and your team’s monthly and quarterly sales targets, your responsibilities will include the following;

  • Working with the Sales Director, define and execute the overall go-to-market value proposition for your team, taking into consideration the company’s competitors, market trends and customer/prospect feedback
  • Working with the Marketing team devise, generate content and execute regular marketing initiatives including direct e-mail campaigns, follow-up calling campaigns as well as other marketing initiatives (e.g. events, speaking slots, PR content, partnerships and alliances etc.) to generate qualified sales leads for your team
  • Manage the sales pipeline for both your own and your team’s sales opportunities to ensure that the opportunities remain qualified and that the products and services are demonstrated are positioned in the best possible light
  • Ensure that the company CRM is fully up-to-date at all times particularly the sales forecast
  • Work with the sales team to assist with any commercial customer negotiations within pre-agreed discounting and contractual parameters
  • Ensure that you and the sales team are fully conversant with the functionality of the product and the services we offer and up-to-date with latest product and service offerings
  • Organise and deliver sales and product training as appropriate
  • Together with the Sales Director, manage a process of continual improvement for, but not limited to, product demonstrations, sales quotations, proposal writing, pricing, reporting and sales handover processes
  • Provide regular company briefings to the senior management team as well as attending management, implementation and product planning meetings where appropriate
  • Assist with sales staff recruitment, interviews and staff induction

Skills, qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 year’s experience Sales Management experience
  • Knowledge of SaaS sales models preferable
  • Experience of selling to HR departments desirable
  • Experience selling solutions at ‘C’ Level
  • Managing KPI’s to increase operational efficiencies
  • Proven experience of developing, coaching and training
