A well established and fast growing software solutions company based in Leicestershire is looking for a Software/System Implementation Project Manager to join their team.

Skills and experiences required:

You are a good relationship manager, very well organised and have strong communication skills. Additionally, you understand technical IT-related information and can prioritise our customer’s business requirements. You are not easily stressed and you know how to spot and mitigate risks.

  • Experience of leading the full project life cycle in a client-facing system/software delivery/implementation setting
  • At least 3 years proven project management experience leading projects and 5 years relevant work experience in a field with complex business process systems supported by IT
  • Responsible for tracking project time and budget and managing accordingly
  • Understanding of waterfall expected, additional experience of Agile advantageous
  • Keep on top of project documentation, RAID, CRs etc.
  • Confident with MS Project
  • Confident with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint etc.
  • Excellent time manager
  • Good negotiator and able to influence people
  • Reliable and loyal, this is a permanent role
  • Good humoured and motivated
  • Great customer facing skills
  • Result and customer oriented to achieve short-term and long-term goals
  • Self-motivated working under own initiative - happy swimming in the deep end!
  • Degree qualified advantageous
  • Prince2 and ITIL qualified

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading the project team
  • Planning, monitoring and controlling the project
  • Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan and the budget
  • Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary
  • Resolving cross-functional issues at project level
  • Managing project scope and change control
  • Monitoring project progress and performance
  • Providing status reports to the project sponsor
  • Managing consultancy input within the defined budget, while managing and approving project costs
  • Assuming decision making role for all aspects of your project, in accordance with policy
