Project Accountant (Finance Manager) - London

RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Project Accountant (Finance Manager) to join a leading £50m R&D business based in Hitchin.

Working within a small finance team and reporting to the FD, you will be supporting multiple projects with an average lifecycle of 18-24m from initial budgeting and planning, through the full project completion. Your client base will be on an international scale.

The role will be varied and will cover areas such as:

• Project costings
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Developing strategy & business plans.
• Reporting on project costs, milestones and KPI’s
• Ensuring variance between budgets, forecasts and actual results are understood, clearly explained and necessary actions are implemented.
• Provide support in relation to both financial inputs and contract negotiations as required
• Project performance, including income, costs to complete, working capital, change control and final closedown
• Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Support with financial and management accounting duties

A large part of the role will be project based, but you may also be required to provide a more traditional accounting service.

• Previous project accounting experience desirable
• Relevance finance experience
• Organised and structured

• Strong technical skills
