International Financial Controller - Northampton

RattrayParkin are exclusively partnered with a global manufacturing business in Northamptonshire to recruit a Financial Controller.

Reporting into a Finance Director the successful candidate will take responsibility for supporting the non-UK accounting functions of the business. This will include assisting in setting standards of financial management, assisting local management in the achievement of the standards and monitoring their effectiveness.

The successful candidate should be a hands on commercially aware accountant with previous experience in the manufacturing sector and willing to travel overseas for 8 weeks of the year.

The role will be full time, permanent and offering hybrid working. (3 days office and 2 from home).

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure the timeliness and accuracy of management information of the overseas operations and to work with local management and accounting teams to ensure that deadlines are met.
• To ensure that there are appropriate internal controls in each of the businesses and that these are operating effectively and in line with the group authority procedures.
• To ensure that the overseas operations have robust processes for tax accounting and cash management.
• To assist the Finance Director with commercial contract negotiations, company secretarial and corporate legal matters of overseas operations.
• To provide financial support to the overseas operations on commercial projects.
• The role will involve international travel to group locations.

About you:

• Collaborative with colleagues at all levels and able to build strong working relationships
• Willing to travel overseas
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Microsoft Excel / Systems experience
• Previous manufacturing/costing experience
