Financial Controller - Birmingham

RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a business based in Walsall. They are a national sports body who has recently relocated to the area and is recruiting a new finance team. This is effectively a number one finance position and will report to the Senior Management Team.

The business uses Sage L50 and Excel.

Key duties:

• Produce monthly management accounts
• Budgets and forecasts
• Variance analysis
• Support financial accounting for 2 other subsidiaries
• KPI’s
• VAT
• Board reports and presentation
• Attend Board meetings
• Support payroll
• External relationships with brokers, auditor and funding partners
• Manage cash position
• Manage Life Assurance, Pensions and Medical Insurance
• Year-end
• Manage finance team of 2.

About you:

• Previous relevant experience
• Competent user of Sage L50
• Sage Payroll experience desirable
• Excellent technical accounting skills
• Staff management
• Able to communicate at all levels
