Finance Manager - Lincolnshire

RattrayParkin are partnered with a well-established and highly reputable private equity backed business in Lincolnshire, which is seeking to appoint a talented Finance Manager.

This exciting opportunity is created as a result of the current incumbent retiring later this year and will be working closely with an immensely talented & newly appointed CFO brought in to strengthen the finance function across all areas. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, fast moving, and collaborative business.

The role will be focused on helping to drive improvements in financial systems and controls, business forecasting and cash management. The successful candidate will report directly into the CFO and will be responsible for two direct reports.

Uniquely, the business is private equity backed (accelerated growth) which the successful candidate will gain exposure to from day one!

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, providing management with supporting analysis and recommendations to help optimise cash generation.
  • Managing the Credit Control and Purchase Ledger Manager
  • Ensuring systems and controls are developed and maintained to drive prompt cash collection and limit exposure to bad debts
  • Ensuring adequate PO systems and controls are in place.  The Finance Manager will be tasked with ensuring the PO and PI approval process is efficient and effective.
  • Ensuring the team maintain supplier statement reconciliation
  • Managing the Groups banking, which includes trade finance facilities, CID facilities, weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing accurate weekly and monthly CF forecasts
  • VAT and Corporation Tax Returns
  • Manage Groups Insurance Renewals
  • Manage Payroll
  • Help Streamline the Month End Process
  • Help drive improvements in Business Reporting, promoting better visibility and communication across the business functions
  • Help develop Accounting Policy and Procedure to help ensure string and effective corporate governance  
  • Assist the CFO in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Assist with the annual audit.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to the business

Salary is £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits.

The business is flexible and operates hybrid working (minimum 2-3 days a week in the office) but you may choose to see this as a relocation opportunity.

About you:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or part-qualified
  • Previous financial accounting experience
