RattrayParkin are delighted to be recruiting for a Interim Finance Analyst to join an extremely successful Global Technology company at its Derbyshire based site. The purpose of the role is to improve both the financial reporting and financial performance of the revenue and gross margin function. Principle Accountabilities: To provide regular Financial Performance reports & analysis internally • To prepare reports as required and as directed by the Head of Revenue and Gross Margin • To extract data from systems, generate financial reports and make sense of those reports, developing “action-based” outputs • To assist the overall Finance department re budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning, influencing and improving financial performance via the provision of high-quality analysis • To contribute towards the various audits we have to undertake and provide information to assist with the SEC filing documentation on a quarterly basis To signal where the Financial Performance of the function could be improved • To spot adverse performance trends and to communicate any insights as appropriate • To work closely with the Business Accounting team on the development of reporting and on any ad hoc interrogation into any individual area’s financial performance Calculate and post monthly deferred and accrued income amounts • As part of this ensure revenue is recognised in the correct accounting period in line with UK and US GAAP • Ensure revenue cut-off procedures are adhered to in connection with the delivery of machines and recognising the related revenue in the correct period To lead on the reporting of the Greek monthly reporting requirements • Produce monthly management accounts for the Greek entity • Set-up and lead a monthly call with our Greek partner to discuss in detail the results for the month Assist the Head of Revenue and Margin in the of weekly KPI reporting To take the lead on documenting processes and controls for the team • To ensure key processes are documented, with controls in place to mitigate the potential impact of staff absence Any other related duties • To carry out ad hoc projects/tasks on the request of Senior Finance management • To be flexible during key working periods and to be focused on meeting deadlines. Qualifications Qualified Accountant Experience • Experience of working as a Revenue and Gross Margin Analyst or similar role • Working in the finance department of a medium or large organization • Working to tight deadlines • Being an integral and active member of a Finance team • Ability to work on their own using their own initiative but at the same time able to work as part of a close-knit team • Experience of handling data and making user-friendly sense of it • Producing high-quality financial reports Skills, knowledge and abilities • Very good interpersonal skills • Excellent systems skills, with an ability to learn systems quickly • Excellent analytical skills • Curious about business performance, with an attention to detail • Pro-active approach to problem-solving • Self-starter, able to deliver with limited supervision • Appetite to improve business performance and to influence results positively • Flexible attitude and approach to work, recognising the possibility of working some unsocial hours For more information or to apply please contact Kirith Richards on 01509 854107 and email your CV to
