Assistant Head of Client Accounting - Loughborough

RattrayParkin are partnered with an established business based in North West Leicestershire to recruit an Assistant Head of Client Accounting.

Reporting into the Head of Client Accounting this is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong communication skills to oversee the function and be responsible for day to day staff management of the team.

The successful candidate must enjoy collaborating with clients to find solutions and possess a strong technical accounting background.

This role offers hybrid working with expectation of being site based at least 2-3 days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the whole Rural client accounts team to ensure the team are growing and developing
• Ensure all RICS guidelines are followed
• Ensure all team are following accepted accounting procedures
• Instil common practices across all client accounts departments
• Review and where require implement change to accounting software systems and be able to implement multiple systems
• Provide external client facing role to demonstrate what “good” accounting looks like

About you:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Excellent technical accounting skills
• Ideal but not essential to have an understanding of property/real estate/rural accounting
• Previous people management experience
• Excellent communication skills
